K- Prep

Luke started K-Prep this week.  I haven't had a good cry like that in YEARS!  My heart hurt to see him walk into the school.  I know he is ready but I'm not sure I am.  Luke is such an amazing little boy.  He had such a funny little personality and LOVES to make people laugh.  He is also very kind a gentle.

It is so very hard to let them "go".  I wish I could keep him my little boy forever.

Ryan

Ryan worked VERY hard on all his Valentine Cards.  I love seeing those first letters on paper :)  He wrote the name of a little girl names Evie that he says he loves.  I think the feeling is mutual b/c her mother told me that Evie drew a picture of Ryan in her "Favorite Things" book.  So cute!

Ryan is so smart.  He knows how to write all his letters without needing any help at all.  The trick is trying to get him to do it.  Right now he will only draw pictures of Thomas.  He refuses to draw any of the other engines.  He also loves to draw rainbows.

School is going so well for him now!  He loves his friends and teachers.  He knows EVERYONES name.  It is very impressive considering Luke finally remembers his teachers names.  When Ryan says hello or goodbye he always uses the persons' name.  He also insists on saying goodbye to every single "friend" in the classroom before leaving.  He will scream their name until they acknowledge him too.  Ms Angela thinks he is hysterical.  It has been now 6 months since he started school and she still busts out laughing every time he says "Bye Bye Ms Angela, I'll you tomorrow, OK".

Love my sweet Ba Ba.  Especially love how unique his little personality is :)

PS - for about 2 weeks in January Ryan wore a life vest to school.  Refused to take it off.  Even wore it under his coat.

Luke

Luke made each of his friends Valentine pictures.  It took him about 2 days of hard work and lots of planning to finish them.  I think they are amazing and he is honestly the coolest kid ever!  I am a little sad to give the pictures away but I know how excited he is to show his friends.

Luke's imagination blows me away.  He is so smart and creative.  Ms Carla told me he has begun writing books and drawing pictures each morning.  He even helped other children to create their own stories.  This is not the first time I have heard how he helps his classmates.  Last year Ms Alyssa told me if a child ever had trouble with a puzzle they would always send Luke over to help.  And sure enough Luke would have the puzzle completed in no time!

I'm so proud of him and know he is destined to become someone great!  I secretly hope he becomes an architect so he can build me a house :)  He has already promised to marry me and never EVER leave me.  Oh, how things will soon change.  But for now I'm holding on extra tightly to the little boy who gave me the most important title in my life.  Mommy.
