Ryan 3 years old

I realized that I missed writing about Ryan on his 3rd b-day so better late than never.

Ryan is so full of personality. He makes us laugh every day. He is very willful and tends to be a bit stubborn but at the same time he is the most cuddly and affectionate child. He came into my room the other night and stroked my face and hair while holding my other hand.

Luke and Ryan are best buddies and overall get along so well. They at times drive me insane with the constant wrestling and tackling of each other but they are boys after all.

Ryan has FINALLY decided to stop throwing a fit before school. It took about 5 months but we finally got there! I swear they issued a code red alarm every Tuesday / Thursday morning at school to announce Ryan had arrived. Ryan is not afraid to let you know what he thinks or feels. For a while he would just scream "NO, NO, NO" the second he saw his teachers. It was actually pretty funny :) We had our teacher conferences before the end of school and, unfortunately, Ryan's were not exactly a parent's dream.  He apparently still puts up a fight when transitioning from one activity to another and at times refuses to participate in things.  My Dad made me feel better when he said what makes great people are those that are feisty and not afraid to speak up for what they want.  Ryan most definitely is NOT afraid to speak his mind!  Thankfully he is not being kicked out of preschool b/c sometimes all that willfulness can wear me out!!  :)

Ryan has adjusted very well from being the baby to the big brother. He LOVES to hold Evie. He puts his hands out and says "catch the baby". I'm so happy to see that.  He loves her so much and just wants to constantly hold her and touch her.

Ryan now sits perfectly in the middle of my heart with Luke and Evie on either side. I love him so incredibly much and I'm so lucky to be his mom.
